Cats ... I never had cats as a kid. I don't exactly recall, though, I'd guess, earliest on, 

... not even at the grandparents' house when we'd visit 'em. Dogs, dogs, dogs.

Countryside there'd be chickens and ducks and goats, the odd cow or pig/hog

... other kinds of fowl with the chickens and ducks ... brood warmer thing.

Eventually the grandparents did have cats, I don't recall much messin' with 'em.

Unsure if that may not have been as much me as we ... I wasn't exacly brought up to

... to 'explore' ... not exactly ... not like especially encouraged and resource kinda thing

... that is, maybe I didn't pursue the cats, on the one hand, &, the other, 

... maybe they kept to themselves or ... bein' country cats, maybe they had goin' about to do?

We were sometimes (nuclear family) in town, sometimes outside of ... (to be continued)
